Okay, so maybe Summer isn't here yet, technically. But it sure feels like summer out. The family got to take a fun trip to Poppi and Gigi's haus. The kids had a good time running around
Towel Day has come and gone! We celebrated with a towel breakfast 😃
The kids continue to make good use of the weather, enjoying our park-like back yard.
The end of Spring also means I get to take one of the two Boys-Trips I go on every year (once to open the cabin, once to close it down). Markus, Oslo, and Ethan all joined this time. Tom and Steve met us up there. It was a great trip, here are some highlights!
We didn't feel comfortable imposing on Grandma during the COVID19 Crisis, but I made sure that we had a cake-cake breakfast anyway. It wasn't as good, but it was good.
We had a quick diversion trip up to Wisconsin Point in Superior, and hiked out to the lighthouse. Always great to reconnect with my college buddies. They are good dudes one and all.
We even got to stop for lunch at Gronk's, this was a first in months for some of these dudes. it was a nice break from the Quarantine-Routine. And lunch was delicious!
The best meal of the trip however was yet to come - that night we reverse seared some serious steaks! Each duder was given a 24-oz NY Strip to devour. Ethan was the only finisher!
We managed to squeeze in a boat ride as well. Sunday was gorgeous, 71 degrees and sunny!
All good trips do come to an end however, and before I knew it, it was time to say "goodbye" to the Cabin. See you again in July!
When I returned, Baber was keen to show off his maze-building skills. Such a smart kid!
