October Come and Gone - November 2016

Wow - November is already cruising to a close, and I find myself without a blog post from October even.  It has been a very very busy couple of months.  I have been working >50 hours/week as many of the providers in our system are using PTO before they lose it.  And so, I work.

That isn't to say that I didn't have a break or two.  One of the highlights was Halloween.  Check out Mandi's blog for more information and details on the costume.  Gigi and I escorted the kid wonder along his trek through the neighborhood.  He was intent to go down every street, and I believe he would have trick-or-treated until dawn had we let him.

Forrest made his debut this year as "The Alphabet".  He dazzled those who would listen by reciting his alphabet backwards as fast as most of us can do it forwards.  What can I say?  The kid loves letters.

Early in November we had a wonderful visit by Great Grandma Grogg and Grandma Polly.  Both Grandmas made an appearance, and we had a blast running around with Forrest. There was plenty of fun time with Letty bean as well, but getting to take the Kid to bicycle safety town and to Red Lobster was the real treat.  Grandma, Grandma, and the Boy loooooove those rolls.  Okay, so do I.

Little Letty Bean has been getting her fall colds.  Courtesy of well visits to her doctor and Forrest's pre-school inoculations.  She was a trooper, and I don't mind too much.  When she's full of snot, she likes to snuggle during naps.  I get to give her an hour and a half of not struggling to breath through her nose while she sleeps - and my reward is fairly obvious.

Short post this month.  Both because I have been busy and because I have been working so much.  Also, I'm just not as much fun in the winter.  More to come, for sure though - Mandi and I are celebrating our 9th Anniversary this week.  An impressive milestone if I do say so myself.  And then off to Grandpa Butch's place for Thanksgiving.  Mandi is making not one, not two, but THREE of her famous pumpkin pies.  I can't wait!
